The ABCs are spoken by me and then repeated by the students in sets of 3.
BOLD is me, Italics are students
I print and make my own phonic materials .
All I ask is that the students please repeat my rhythmic lesson.
"A-A, Apple" "A-A, Apple", "B-B Ball" B-B-Ball"!
At the youngest age, I will set time aside for students to write random letters many times on the whiteboard.
More advanced students will have time before the class begins to write the alphabet on the white board.
Even more advanced students will include their first name, last name, and the lower case versions of the alphabet.
In my 5:00 classes of advanced elementary students. The student will each need to bring an "English ruled" notebook, a pencil and an eraser.
I drill proper penmanship, teach new words, phrases, or random sayings. Then, the following week, the student will bring me his/her notebook and read aloud to me what they wrote the previous week.
Then a sticker is rewarded in the notebook.
